1980 SERIES III RHD PERKINS DIESEL LWB TRUCK CAB, 3/4 CANVAS TOP!
This is a remarkable Rover, as it has been professionally fitted with a Perkins four cylinder diesel, and a Fairey Overdrive. The combination is brilliant, and it runs beautifully, starting up on the first shot. Excellent brakes and clutch, electrics work as they should, and apart from a few scuffs, the panels are very straight. Has a great truck cab, and a 3/4 canvas top, a rare combination over here. The Perkins engine is one of the most common engine swaps for the Series Rovers, and is noted as one of the most reilable diesels around. We can help you sort out parts for it, i.e. belts, hoses, filters, etc, but the diesels are usually very reliable, only needing an oil change around 6K miles, and timing belts every 60K.
