This is an
Ex-Military LHD three door, that spent a good deal of its life in
Turkey with NATO. The upshot of this is an excellent chassis and bulkhead.
It was originally "Mid-Grey", but was painted pink at some point,
for optimum camoflage effect in the desert. It has since been repainted
green.
It has the
standard 2.25 liter gas engine, freewheeling hubs, power brakes, heavy-duty
Salisbury rear axle, and the usual Military accountrements: front and
rear bumperettes, six way light switch, and twin fuel tanks with switch-on-the-fly
capability.
It starts and runs extremely well, with good pickup and power (for a Land Rover!). Well suited as a daily driver.
It also has a step up plate on the passenger and rear doors.
As you can see, very little to no rust on the chassis. Interior paint is nice as well.
