SERIES III RHD 12-SEATER SAFARI STATION WAGON
This
Rover will be arriving at our shop on January 14th, 2003. If you are
interested, please call us sooner rather than later, as the five door
wagons that get in stock do not stay very long!
This is a very nice example of the ever popular,
and sought after five door wagon. It has a PTO capstan winch, overdrive
and freewheel hubs.
It has a good chassis and great bodywork. The bulkhead
is in good condition, and it drives absolutely superbly. Our man in
England took it out for a 25 mile round trip and on the return it
was cruising happpily at 65 mph. It's quiet too, it has the deluxe
pack with extra sound proofing. It has the safari roof, a good headlining
and all the vents work. The interior is in good condition as well.
We've sorted out a decent set of 7.50 tyres and
put them on to refurbished rims, and have also replaced most of the
aging ignition system, so it now starts on the button.
Overall it is very tidy and original and has been treated very well
during its life. The 2.6 liter six cylinder engine is a bit rarer
than the 2.25 liter four, but when they run well, and are kept in
good tune, they are a very rewarding, smooth ride.
