This
is a completely authentic, military spec. 109" soft top, which was
released directly from the British Army. This one has a grille from
a Series III (the "squaddies" just threw on whatever was around).
It has full military specifications, which include a 2.25 liter gas
engine with two fan belts, six way convoy light switch, glass quick
fit "beehive" lights, heavy duty Salisbury rear axle (you will never,
ever break an axle shaft again!) fully synchronized gearbox, NATO
trailer hitch, and front and rear "bumperettes". Has power brakes,
with the dual line brake system. The military spec tires have plenty
of tread left, and are mounted on 16' rims.
The inside is standard military issue, with three basic vinyl seats across the front. Super solid chassis and bulkhead- the chassis on the military 109"s were heavily undercoated from new, and seem to last forever. Starts and runs extremely well, and stops on a dime. Has been checked over thoroughly- electrical system, brake and clutch hydraulics, suspension, fuel pump, carb and cooling system all function perfectly. Comes with bonnet mounted spare tire, not pictured. Matching NATO green IFR ( Infra-red reflecting) paint is available as well for touch ups.
